Effective October 2026
I’m Gabriel Knapp, a portrait photographer based in Goleta, California. This page explains what happens to the details you share with me through this site and when we work together. If anything is unclear, write to me at hello@gabrielkphoto.com.
What I collect
When you send an inquiry, the form asks for your name, email address and phone number, the kind of session you have in mind, dates that suit you, and anything else you choose to tell me. If you book, I also keep what’s needed to plan and deliver your session: your agreement, invoices and payment records, and our messages. If you email, call or text me, I keep those messages too. Calls and texts to my business line may be answered first by an automated assistant and recorded or transcribed so I don’t miss details; my phone provider (Twilio) handles that for me.
How I use it
To reply to you, plan and photograph your session, deliver your gallery, and keep the records a small business has to keep. That’s it.
HoneyBook
The inquiry form, booking pages, agreements, invoices and payments run on HoneyBook, the client-management service I use. When you fill in the form or book, your details go to HoneyBook, which stores and processes them for me under its own privacy policy. Card payments are handled through HoneyBook’s payment processing, and I never see your full card number.
This website
This site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles basic technical data, such as your IP address, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see simple, combined numbers, like how many people read a page and which site sent them here. It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t follow you to other websites, and doesn’t build a profile of you. The site itself sets no advertising or tracking cookies; the HoneyBook form may set cookies of its own so that it works.
Photographs and the model release
Every client signs a model release as part of the session agreement, and a parent or guardian signs for children. It allows me to use photographs from your session in my portfolio, on this website, on social media and in my marketing. The full terms are in your agreement, so you can read them before you sign.
Who else sees it
I don’t sell your personal information, and I don’t share it for anyone else’s advertising. It goes only to the services that help me run the business, such as HoneyBook, Cloudflare and Google Workspace for my email, or to others when the law requires it.
How long I keep it
I keep inquiry and client records for as long as I need them to work with you and to meet tax and legal record-keeping requirements, and then I delete them.
Your choices
You can ask what information I have about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email hello@gabrielkphoto.com with “Privacy request” in the subject, and I’ll let you know when it’s done. If I have to keep something, such as an invoice for tax purposes, I’ll tell you.
California
This page is my notice under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA). I don’t sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Because this site doesn’t track you across other websites, it doesn’t respond differently to “Do Not Track” browser signals.
Children
This site isn’t meant for children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect their information online. Parents and guardians book sessions for their children.
Changes
If I change this page, I’ll update the date at the top.
