Event and brand photographer, Santa Barbara
For the day itself, and for the business behind it.
I'm Gabriel, a photographer based in Goleta. I started out in photojournalism, and that's still how I work an event: stay close, watch, and be ready for the moment nobody planned. For businesses, I make honest pictures of the people and the work for your website, your socials and the press.

Events
Marathons and fun runs, festivals, concerts, private parties and grand openings, from Goleta to downtown Santa Barbara.
I cover the whole arc: the setup, the crowd arriving, the ribbon or the starting gun, the speeches, the dancing, the people who made it happen. You get the big moments, and the small ones that make it feel like your event rather than any event.
Events happen in whatever light the day brings, from midday sun at a finish line to stage light at a concert. I work with the light that's there, and at night or indoors I add flash when the moment needs it.

Brand & editorial
Your business at work: the owner at the counter, the team on the floor, the hands that make the thing. Environmental and editorial portraits, plus lifestyle-style images of your space and your people, for your website, social media, press and publication.
These are pictures made where the work actually happens, in daylight and window light wherever I can, with flash indoors or after dark when it's needed. I bring the same gentle direction and room for unposed moments. No backdrop, no stock-photo look.
- Owner and team portraits at your workplace
- Your people at work, behind the scenes
- Your space, details and product in use
- Editorial portraits for articles and publication

How it works
Inquire. Tell me what's happening, where and when, and what the photos are for. I reply within 24 hours, often much sooner.
Plan. We talk through the schedule, the moments and people that matter, and where the photos will be used, so I know what to look for before I arrive.
Shoot. I show up early, learn the room and stay out of the way. For brand sessions I give small, simple directions and leave space for the real thing.
Delivery. Your photos come in a private online gallery with high-resolution downloads, edited by me, in about two weeks (always within three).
Questions
What kinds of events do you photograph?
Races and fun runs, festivals, concerts and live music, private parties, and grand openings and launches, around Goleta and Santa Barbara. If yours is something else, ask; the answer is often yes.
How much does event or brand photography cost?
It depends on the hours, the place and how you'll use the photos, so I quote each one. Tell me what you have in mind and I'll reply within 24 hours, often much sooner, with a quote.
What is brand photography, exactly?
Pictures of your business as it really is: you and your team at work, your space, your product in real hands. They're made for your website, social media, press and publication, so they look like you and not like stock.
Do you need a shot list?
It helps. Tell me the must-haves, like the speeches, the sponsors' banner, the owner with the new sign, and who the key people are. I'll cover those and look for everything in between.
How do we receive the photos?
In a private online gallery with high-resolution downloads, edited by me. Your gallery follows in about two weeks (always within three).
How far do you travel?
Travel within 25 miles of Goleta is included. Further afield, just ask; any travel cost is part of your quote.
How can we use the photos?
Your photos are licensed for your own website, social media, print and press. Paid advertising, resale, or use by another company (a sponsor or a partner, say) is something we talk through in your quote.
Do you also photograph people for their own portraits?
Yes, that's most of my work. Headshots, families, couples and high school seniors are on my sessions page.
Tell me about your event or your business
The date, the place and what you need the photos for. I'll reply personally, within 24 hours, often much sooner.
