Event photographer, Santa Barbara
For the day itself: the setup, the crowd arriving, the big moment, and the small ones that make it feel like your event.
I'm Gabriel, a photographer based in Goleta. I started in photojournalism, and that's still how I work a room: stay close, watch, and be ready for the moment nobody planned.

What I photograph
Races and fun runs, sports tournaments and club meets, festivals, concerts and live music, charity galas and fundraisers, corporate mixers, conferences and team offsites, open houses, ribbon cuttings and product launches, and school and community events. Around Goleta and Santa Barbara.
Whatever the light is
Events don't wait for good light, from midday sun at a finish line to a dim hall or a stage after dark. I work with the light that's there, and at night or indoors I add flash when it's needed.
Tell me the must-haves
A short list helps: the speeches, the sponsors' banner, the new sign, the people who have to be in the pictures. I'll cover those and watch for everything in between.

Questions
How much does event photography cost?
Event photography is $250 per hour, with a two-hour minimum. A ribbon cutting or a mixer may need only the two; a race, a festival or a conference day usually runs longer, so your written quote follows your schedule. Send me the date and what's planned and I'll reply within 24 hours, often much sooner.
What kinds of events do you photograph?
Races and fun runs, tournaments and club meets, festivals, concerts and live music, charity galas, mixers, conferences, open houses, ribbon cuttings, product launches, and school and community events. If yours is something else, ask.
Can I give you a shot list?
Please do. Tell me the must-haves, like the speeches, the sponsors' banner and who the key people are. I'll cover those and look for everything in between.
What about dark rooms and night events?
I work with the light that's there, and I add flash when the room or the hour calls for it. A dim hall or a night stage still gets clear, honest photos.
Can our sponsors or partners use the photos?
Your photos are licensed for your organization's own website, social media, print and press. If a sponsor or partner wants to use them, or you want them in a paid ad or for resale, tell me when you inquire and we'll set that out in your quote.
When will we have the photos?
In about two weeks, and always within three. I edit every frame I deliver, and the gallery has full-size downloads, so your team can pull photos for the recap the same day it lands.
Tell me about your event
The date, the place and what you need the photos for. I'll reply personally, within 24 hours, often much sooner.
